Mia received her B.A. in Drama from the Ohio State University and her M.F.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Washington’s Professional Actor Training Program. A member of the acting unions AEA and SAG-AFTRA, she has been working as a professional actor since 1997 and is also a voice and acting coach.
Mia was recently seen as Gertrude in Ubuntu Theater’s production of Hamlet. She has worked with most of the theaters in the Bay Area. One particular thrill was getting to perform with Frances McDormand in Berkeley Rep’s production of Macbeth. She has also had the honor of performing at ACT, TheatreWorks, CalShakes, Magic, SF Shakes, Aurora, Crowded Fire as well as Pacific Rep in Carmel. Mia has worked with Littler Mendelson this past decade as a role playing consultant as well as with Stanford, Twitter, Visa, Bristol Bay and Twilio. Clients come from a variety of backgrounds and companies including Intuit, Google, Amazon, Twitter, Predii, Align Clinic, San Mateo Probation and various Bay Area School Districts. A professional actor the past 20 years, she has performed with many of the main bay area theatres including Berkeley Rep, ACT and Theatreworks, and is currently directing a one woman show for a bay actor in Dragon Theatre’s current solo performance festival.
